Fire on the Mountain!

We hosted Fire on the Mountain Buffalo Wings here at the farm for their employee party this Memorial Day!! Owners Jordan and Sara went all out for their employees with camping, live music an open bar and catering. Was I secretly hoping they would show up WITH wings?? (drool) yes, yes I was. They did not… but it was fine because The Oak Tree Restaurant and Lounge catering department brought the heat with a fantastic Fiesta Bar! Chicken Tinga, Carnitas, Mushroom Carnitas, beans, rice and all the fixings of course, plus, full stop…CHURROS WITH DIPPING SAUCE. YUM!!!

We set them up with a big comfy living room style space in the barn to hang out and listen to music. Owner Jordan, killed it with the playlist, good job sir! We set the dining room up soft and pretty but honestly, it was such a nice cloudy warm day, everyone wanted to be outside to eat!

We were a bit nervous it was going to rain, I know, big shock right? Questioning the weather in the PNW is standard practice at this point! But the weather gods turned out to be on our side and gave us just the perfect spring day for these guys. We were able to have the band,The Lavender Flu, set up outside where guests could sit around them and listen to the tunes for a couple hours in the breeze. Groups split off to nap in the glamping tents, do yoga in the in the field, hang with a drink and a stogy at the smoking lounge, or play the yard games we set up for them. Corn hole and jenga were the crowd favorites and to my delight turned quite competitive!

Fire on the Mountain isn’t just buffalo wings, they have a brewery too! Our bar is equipped with a a kegerator so we were able to tap up some of their own brews. It was our first use of the kegerator for the season so Matt made sure to install fresh tubing lines for the freshest taste. If you get a chance to try these guys out, they have three locations in the Portland area and the beer was fantastic( yes I tried it after my shift of course!) their Brewmaster Ben really knows what he is doing!

I have to note as well, Jordan and Sara were so great, these guys really care about their employees and it is evident why. The group was respectful, fun and just overall good vibes. These guys were a wonderful group and we hope they return next year!

While we did get a few, most of the photos from this event were unusable due to user error.

It was me. I was the user. 😀

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS girls get hitched at Adeline Farms!

These two beauties tied the knot here at the farm May 13th 2022. It was an intimate and serene ceremony. A cellist played as the ladies walked bridal lane, and they couldn’t have been more adorable with their fur babies in tow.

The Cascadians played at the reception and this magnificent family enjoyed some tasty fare from Simply Thyme (one of our personal faves!) . The girls put their personality into every aspect of the day, even the cake, look at these little robots!!

What a joy to watch them celebrate together. The love and community in this group was palpable! We wish these ladies the best of luck in their future together, CHEERS TO YOU!!!

UnBEElievable Event!

On April 9th 2022 Adeline Farms, along with 29 local Woodlanders, officially BEEcame Mason Bee ambassadors!

When Jenni Guajardo of Wanna-Bee-Homesteading reached out to us as potential hosts of some of her mason bees we were intrigued. As a working farm, event venue and dreamers of fields of in house floral, we take pollination pretty seriously over here! Of course being the creatives and dreamers that we are, we couldn’t just host some bees…we had to make it a whole thing of course! We connected Jenni with our onsite Florist and horticulture specialist Payne Grams and together they created the UnBEElievable Mason Bee Event.

Payne set the stage and beautified our barn, which was no simple task after being closed all winter, into a classroomesque atmosphere. But cooler ’cause there were fancy couches, I told you already we like to make stuff a whole thing! Krissy, our event manager, put the word out on social media. Then Jenni, the expert, took us all on a journey of Mason Bee education. Did you know that Mason Bees don’t sting and are even more efficient than Honey Bees? Or that male Mason Bees only live 2 to 3 weeks and the females 6 weeks? I did not! What’s crazy is they can pollinate around 1600 flowers in one day. So even though they have these short little life spans, they have a major impact on their surroundings. Hmmm…I feel like there is a life lesson in there for sure!

We also learned how to house and care for them. Turns out, once you have an understanding of their life cycles, it’s actually pretty easy! Jenni taught us about nesting, how to harvest the cocoons, how to pick out the queen and much more.

One thing that we thought was really cool, Jenni and her family actually make the bee houses from hand. She told us about her and her husband staying up the night before the event to make just a few more houses, and good thing because she pretty much sold out! She also provided every attendee with 15 of their own hibernating bees to get started, and raffled off a free bee house.

All in all it was a wonderful experience and Adeline Farms as whole feels honored to BEE the host of such a fantastic community event. We are hoping to host another one in the Fall so if you missed the last one stay tuned for info on the next!

Adeline Farms Fire Relief Benefit

At our fundraiser in September of 2016 we were very grateful to raise over $8,000 to help rebuild our historic barn that was lost in a fire at the end of April that year.. We were honored to be able to give a portion of our proceeds back to the local Woodland volunteer Fire Department! Big, BIG thanks to everyone who so generously donated time, auction items, and money!!! The love, encouragement and support we received from our Portland and Woodland communities has truly touch our hearts and gave us the strength to keep following our dreams!!

Camping Concert

This is a camping music festival with several food carts, yoga under our mighty oak tree to live music, and many other fun things to experience.  This is a weekend event with multiple bands on two different stages. Our guests move in and can stay all weekend or just join us for the day. Tent camping, car camping, RVs, and trailers are scattered through out the property. This is a “dry camping” or “festival” style event. If you are interested in reserving one of our “glampers” or “glampsites” please contact us directly.
Nothing gives us more pleasure than having our farm crawling with music lovers!
