We hosted Fire on the Mountain Buffalo Wings here at the farm for their employee party this Memorial Day!! Owners Jordan and Sara went all out for their employees with camping, live music an open bar and catering. Was I secretly hoping they would show up WITH wings?? (drool) yes, yes I was. They did not… but it was fine because we had it catered for them with a fantastic Fiesta Bar! Chicken Tinga, Carnitas, Mushroom Carnitas, beans, rice and all the fixings of course, plus, full stop…CHURROS WITH DIPPING SAUCE. YUM!!!
We set them up with a big comfy living room style space in the barn to hang out and listen to music. Owner of Fire on the Mountain, Jordan, killed it with the playlist, good job sir! We set the dining room up soft and pretty but honestly, it was such a nice cloudy warm day, everyone wanted to be outside to eat!

We were a bit nervous it was going to rain, I know, big shock right? Questioning the weather in the PNW is standard practice at this point! But the weather gods turned out to be on our side and gave us just the perfect spring day for these guys. We were able to have the band,The Lavender Flu, set up outside where guests could sit around them and listen to the tunes for a couple hours in the breeze. Groups split off to nap in the glamping tents, do yoga in the in the field, hang with a drink and a stogy at the smoking lounge, or play the yard games we set up for them. Corn hole and jenga were the crowd favorites and to my delight turned quite competitive!

Fire on the Mountain isn’t just buffalo wings, they have a brewery too! Our bar is equipped with a a kegerator so we were able to tap up some of their own brews. It was our first use of the kegerator for the season so Matt made sure to install fresh tubing lines for the freshest taste. If you get a chance to try these guys out, they have three locations in the Portland area and the beer was fantastic( yes I tried it after my shift of course!) their Brewmaster Ben really knows what he is doing!

I have to note as well, Jordan and Sara were so great, these guys really care about their employees and it is evident why. The group was respectful, fun and just overall good vibes. These guys were a wonderful group and we hope they return next year!
While we did get a few, most of the photos from this event were unusable due to user error.
It was me. I was the user. 😀
